Neurocranium Sculpt
Getting back to Zbrush after more than a year. Lost touch with sculpting totally because of the same reason. Atleast the workflows and hotkeys were something I still remembered. So after one failed attempt, was able to come up with this.
Time taken- 3 hrs
Software - Zbrush 4R6
Brushes Used- Move, Clay buildup, Trim Adaptive, Pinch , Smooth, Inflat
Used ZRemesher couple of times to reconstruct the topology.
For the base mesh, I started out with a polysphere.
For the zygomatic arch, I used a ZSphere chain to make the structure, followed by making an adaptive skin of the same.
For attaching the zygomatic arch to the base skull, I used remeshing followed by projection to get back the details lost during remeshing.
Still need to make the mandible and the teeth. Planning to follow that up with polypainting later on to give a bit of color and details and break the monotony in the look.
